Search for a Company to begin a Claim

Normally, you’ll find that these complaints are often to do with either the appliances you’ve had fitted or the installation process itself. Obviously, your first option is just to complain to the retailer themselves. If you aren’t happy with the level of service that you received, and you need to say something. You’re entitled to a certain level of customer satisfaction. If you aren’t happy, you need to take that. So gather together any evidence you have which will support your assert, and get in contact with them. Explain exactly what the problem is, and why you feel like you haven’t been done a good service.

Tips for Complaining

We appreciate that not a lot of you will have experience in complaining. It’s a difficult process sometimes, to turn around and admit that you aren’t happy. We know it’s challenging, which is why we put together a list of things that you can do when you’re complaining to make it a little bit easier.

Like we said. The first thing that you’re going to want to do is to collect together evidence to back up your claim. It’s no good just complaining without anything to support it, because you’ll find that you just become another voice to get ignored. Whenever it’s possible, you’re going to want to make sure that you come onto the solution to the problem. There is no point just mindlessly complaining because that’s when customer service representatives start getting a bit bored. Instead, try and make sure that you offer a solution because then you’ve got a better chance of getting things sorted.

From there, It’s a question of being polite and respectful. Do you want to make sure that you’re appealing to the person at the other end of the phone? They are the ones that can help you to make the most of the situation. They are the ones that will help you to find your solution. If you’re rude to them, and you treat them like nothing, they won’t help you. Instead, you should make sure that you’re treating them with respect. Because that’s how they become helpful to you.

Furthermore, you’re going to want to make sure that you note down all the times and dates on which you interact with a member of the customer service team, especially when dealing with longer problems that require more than one conversation to resolve.

Furthering a Complaint

In the event that you deal with a member of the customer service team and your complaint cannot be resolved, you’re going to want to take it further. More often than not, this will involve taking it to an ombudsman. They will be able to deal with the problem for you, negotiating with the company on your behalf when a solution cannot be reached between the two of you. It’s important to remember that you can only involve the ombudsman when you have exhausted all other options in terms of resolving your complaint.

Your Options

So as you can see there are quite a few options available to you when it comes to making a complaint. The process can be quite draining, but at the same time immensely worth it if you feel the company hasn’t met the standard of service you deserve. You have every right to complain about something, but all that we suggested you meet these complaints with a sense of purpose. The person at the other end of the phone is a customer service representative, and they don’t just want abuse hurled at them. You have to make sure that you are being polite and respectful, but at the same time working towards your goal. It is the responsibility of both parties to try and come together to find a harmonious solution.
